This Privacy Policy explains how Nevie Apps Platform ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information across our website and the family of mobile applications we publish (each, an "App", collectively the "Apps"). This single policy covers every App we offer — where a specific App's data practices differ from the general rules below (for example, because it shows ads or requires an account), that is called out explicitly in this policy or in the App's own in-store listing.

1 Our App Models, At a Glance
We publish apps across several categories — utilities, education, productivity tools, and more. Not every app works the same way. Each app falls into one or more of these models, and its own in-store listing will tell you exactly which apply:
| Model | What it means for your data |
|---|---|
| Free, no ads | No account needed. No advertising SDKs. Minimal anonymised usage data only (see Section 2). |
| Freemium with ads | No account needed to use the app, but third-party ad networks are present — see Section 4. |
| One-time purchase | Purchased through Google Play Billing or our own Billing Providers. We don't receive or store your card details — see Section 5. |
| Account required | Some apps need an account to sync data or unlock features — see Section 3. All others can be downloaded and used with no account at all. |
Any app that is free and doesn't show ads collects the least data of all: no account, no ad identifiers, nothing beyond the anonymised diagnostic information described below.
2 Information We Collect
Website visits
When you visit our website we automatically record:
- A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (the original IP is never stored)
- A hash of your browser User-Agent string
- The page URL you visited and which app it relates to, if any
- The date and time of the visit
Because we store hashes rather than raw IP addresses, we cannot reverse-engineer your identity from this data.
APK downloads
When you download an app's APK from our website we record only which app, which version, and when — never your identity.
Update checks (in-app)
When one of our apps checks for updates, it sends only its app identifier and your currently installed version number. No device identifiers, names, or location are transmitted by this check.
In-app diagnostic data (varies by app)
Some apps may collect basic, anonymised crash and performance data to help us fix bugs — this never includes your personal files, documents, or content created inside the app, and is not tied to your identity unless you are signed into an account-required app (see Section 3).
3 Account Data (Account-Required Apps Only)
Most of our apps need no account at all — you download and use them anonymously. A smaller number of apps — typically those that sync data across devices or offer cloud-backed features — require you to create an account. For those apps only, we collect:
- An email address (or sign-in identifier if you use Google/Apple sign-in)
- A securely hashed password (if you register directly rather than via a third-party sign-in)
- Any content you explicitly choose to sync or back up through that app's account features
We do not require an account for any app described in our store listing as "free" or "no account needed." If an app's listing does not mention an account, you do not need one to use it fully (subject to that app's own feature set).
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 14, or via an in-app "Delete Account" option where available.
4 Advertising (Ad-Supported Apps Only)
Some of our apps are freemium and supported by advertising instead of, or in addition to, a paid tier. If an app shows ads, it will say so clearly in its store listing and within the app itself. For those apps:
- We use third-party advertising networks to serve ads (e.g. Google AdMob or similar)
- These networks may collect an advertising identifier, general device information, and approximate location to serve relevant ads, subject to their own privacy policies
- You can usually reset or limit your advertising identifier through your device's system settings
- Where required by your region's law, we will ask for your consent before showing personalised ads
Apps explicitly marketed as "no ads" do not include any advertising SDK and do not share data with ad networks.
5 Payments & Purchases (Paid Apps Only)
Some apps are offered as a one-time purchase. All payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing (or the equivalent store billing system on other platforms) — we do not receive, see, or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made, which we use to unlock the relevant features in the app.
Refunds for purchases are handled through the store you purchased from (e.g. Google Play's refund policy), not directly by us, since we have no access to your payment method.
6 How We Use Your Information
Whatever information is collected — as described above — is used only for:
- Aggregated analytics — visits, downloads, and version adoption per app, so we know what to improve
- Account features — for apps that require one, to authenticate you and sync your data
- Advertising — for ad-supported apps only, to serve and measure ads
- Security — detecting and preventing abusive traffic
- Service operation — serving correct update and release information to each app
We never sell your personal data. Ad-network data sharing is limited to what's necessary for ads to function, as described in Section 4.
7 Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses a single session cookie for the admin panel only. If you are a visitor browsing or downloading apps, no cookies are set on the website.
Within apps themselves, account-required apps may use secure local storage to keep you signed in; ad-supported apps may have advertising SDKs that use their own local identifiers as described in Section 4. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies on the website.
8 Data Retention
Website visit logs (hashed IP + hashed User-Agent + page path + date) are retained for a maximum of 12 months, then permanently deleted. Aggregated statistics totals are kept indefinitely as they contain no personal data. Account data for account-required apps is kept until you delete your account or request deletion.
9 Third-Party Services
Depending on the app, the following types of third parties may be involved:
- App stores — Google Play (or equivalent) for distribution and billing
- Advertising networks — for ad-supported apps only (Section 4)
- CDN providers — our website loads Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons, HTMX, and Chart.js from Cloudflare's CDN, which may see your IP address when these load
We have no control over these third parties' own data practices; please review their respective privacy policies for details.
10 Children's Privacy
Several of our apps are educational and may be used by children, typically under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or school. Where an app is directed at children, we limit data collection to what is strictly necessary, avoid behavioural advertising directed at children, and comply with applicable children's privacy laws (such as COPPA) for that app. Apps not directed at children are not knowingly used to collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through an app not intended for children, contact us so we can delete it.
11 Security
- All website and in-app network traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- IP addresses are hashed with SHA-256 before storage — they cannot be reversed
- Account passwords (for account-required apps) are stored using strong one-way hashing, never in plain text
- The admin panel is protected by hashed credentials and CSRF tokens
- APK files are served through an authenticated download path; storage paths are never publicly exposed
No system is completely immune to attack. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly using the contact details below.
12 Your Rights
For website visit data, we store only anonymised, hashed records that cannot be linked back to an individual — so rights such as access, correction, or erasure cannot be meaningfully exercised against that data, since there is no identity attached to it.
If you have an account with one of our apps, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us, or using an in-app account-deletion option where available. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honour valid requests made under those laws.
13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as we add new apps or change how existing ones work. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting a specific app (for example, adding ads to a previously ad-free app) will also be reflected in that app's store listing. Continued use of our website or apps after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
